'Like any girl, Sindy loves pretty, frilly undies..............' , That's how Sindy's first underwear set ' Undie-World' was introduced in 1963. Since then she's had a beautiful collection of underwear to wear under her pretty and fashionable outfits. Made in no end of different fabrics and colours, from flowery nylon, to Denim..........and plain brush nylon to designer underwear by the Emanuels ! Sindy's got the perfect set of underwear for any outfit. So lets take a look at Sindy's Undie-World...............
1966 'Bra and Pants'
A new undrwear set for Sindy this year, still in popular and fashionable 'wash and wear' nylon, this time though, in white. A very pretty set with white satin bra straps and panties trimmed with a lace overlay from the waistband. A lovely little set for the summer months
In 1968 Sindy wore a very trendy up to the minute set of underwear in lilac denim ! No frills, no satin, just plain, simple styling to go with Sindy's ultra fashionable wardrobe of clothes released that year. 'Denim Undies' also came with a lilac and white gingham slip finished in lace at the hem. A great set, and perfect for the new look trendy Sindy.
In 1969 Vicki and Sindy wore 'Flower Frillies' in the summer months. Really picking up on the 'Flower Power' fashion of the time, in this lovely nylon set of bra, panties and mini slip in bably blue spinkled with a pretty design of bright pink, white and orange stylised flowers, and finished off with white lace and a cotton flower on the bra. ( The bra in this set was very poorly made, just simply cut from the fabric, with a couple of pieces of velcro at the back, maybe this was the first Sindy outfit to use velcro ?)..This set also came with red kitten heel shoes, a rather glamourous look to add to an underwear outfit.
Vicky, or indeed Sindy.. was snuggly warm in 1969's underwear set, 'Winter Undies', made in thick stretch jersey nylon, in a choice of three different colours, red, as seen here, white, or navy blue. All trimmed with lace and ribbon bows. An unusual but still very pretty set.
1975, and Sindy wore 'Gingham Gear' . And what a beautifuly made little underwear set this was, one of her best. Crisp blue and white cotton gingham was used for the bra, panties and slip. Pretty white nylon lace edged the top of the bra, pantie legs and hem of the slip, and even the pantie waist elastic had a pretty scalloped edge. With this set Sindy wore white daisy one strap sandals with white fake fur on them, a really beautiful set. This set was mint from pack. Notice that the slip does not have flower 'cut-outs' as shown in the style book picture for that year.
Sindy is 'Pretty In Pink' in 1976 with this delightful bra, panties and slip set. And once again, cool, trendy cotton gingham is used, this time in sugary shades of candy pink and white. All pieces are trimmed with very delicate white cotton lace, including the shoulder straps of the bra. The slip has a lovely curved split detail at the front to make it easy for Sindy to move about in, and a nice wide waistband, a really pretty outfit which really lives up to it's name. Sindy wears her white 'daisy' one strap sandals with this set.
Here's a pretty little set if undies for Sindy, 1977's 'Little Things'...quite a contrast to Sindy's other underwear sets in that I wouldn't have know they were Sindy items had I not bought them Mint In Pack. They are unusual in that they almost look home made, not so much in the quality, which is great, but in the use of 'Ric.Rac' braiding. Still a lovely set though, the peach and baby blue bra and panty sets are in brush nylon, and the slip is in baby blue satin with peach lace trim, so it can be worn wiith either set of underwear, a very clever touch.
In 1978 Sindy wore lucious lemon undies, entitled 'Undie World', just like her first set way back in 1963. This very pretty set consisted of a crisp nylon bra and matching panties, both trimmed with snow white lace, a waffle weave, checked slip in lemon and white, again trimmed with pretty white lcae, and a pair of comfy white mules...A very simple yet really pretty set....
In 1979 Sindy was a real 'Smarty Pants' in this very delicate and pretty underwear set. Sindy wore a white nylon bra, darted for perfect fit and comfort, and edged in very pretty white cotton lace.To go with the bra Sindy wore a pair of white satin nylon French Knickers with matching white lace around the leg hems. For a contrast, Sindy also had white satin French knickers with a lovely froth of lemon and white lace around the leg hems, these matched the lace on her lovely broderie anglais slip in crisp white cotton ( there are different variations in the broderie anglais used to make this slip) . Simple but comfortable white wedge one strap sandals finished off the outfit. Just beautiful. .
Here's a really pretty underwear set with a pretty name to, 'Baby Blue' from 1980. Matching nylon bra and panties with white lace trim, and a beautiful 'A'-line slip in delicate baby blue lace with a fine pattern of white flowers over it, lace trim and gathered hem.Sindy tops off the set with a cute pair of fluffy mules.This set also came with a pair of white panties.
To make up for the fact that Sindy had to make do with 'Baby Blue' for 1980 and 1981 as well, Pedigree issued her with two wonderful underwear sets for 1982.
This one is called 'Lingerie' and is such a lovely set. Sindy wears a delicate white cotton lace bra with thin ribbon straps, and plain panties, Sindy also has a luxurious white nylon satin 'teddy' with delicate ribbon shoulder straps and blue and white nylon lace hems. Matching this, Sindy also has a petticoat in the same fabric, held up with delicate ribbon straps and with more of that really pretty blue and white lace trimming to top, and to the hem of the gathered 'skirt' that falls from the knee to the calf. Fluffy slippers complete the luxurious look of this gorgeous collection of undies.

I love 1983's underwear offering, 'French Collection' , so cleverly named as it was issued with French Knickers, and the colour was French Lavender ! And such a pretty and delicate set, in luxurious satin. Sindy had a choice of a camisole top and french knickers, both edged in pretty white lace, or a lavender bra and deep purple panties, worn with a beautiful full slip edged in deep white lace.She also had a pair of thick white tights, ideal for winter under a coat or wool skirt.
1984s 'Pretty In Pink'. Soft baby pink stretch nylon was used to make the panties, bra snd camisole top, the camisol top and bra being finished with white lace at the top. Sindy also had a crisp white cotton slip in what look liked broderie anglais, but in fact was just a print, finished near the hem with band of pink satin ribbon, and at the hem with white lace, with this Sindy wore fluffy pink mule slippers. A really pretty set which looks fantastic on blonde Sindys.
Sindy was spoilt rotton in 1985 with this fantastic set entitled 'Red Raver', a great set of underwear including a matching bra and panties in racey red nylon, topped with pretty white lace. A matching Teddy, very trendy and very pretty with it's cute lace 'skirt' effect trim. And a slip in pretty red lace with front split and white lace trim. To top it all off, Sindy wore red fluffy mules, a really fun outfit and one that is very popular with collectors.
1986 saw the last year Pedigree made Sindy, and so this is the last Pedigree Sindy underwear set, no name was given, which is a great pity, it was just one of the 'Miss Sindy' range of outfits. A lovely baby blue nylon strapless bra, edged at the top in white lace was almost indentical in style to that of Sindy's very first bra issued in 1963 ! But panties have moved on ! And now Sindy wore tanga style briefs with a white lace 'waistband'. A slip with side split and matching white lace, complimented this set, and Sindy wore the most gorgeous baby blue heeled slippers with blue fake fur trim, just so cute.
Sindy went out on an all time high in 1986, when the Emanuels were comisioned to design her ultimate underwear set, 'Luxurious Lace' , and that, it certainly was. Her most luxurious undie set ever. Tailored in the most beautiful, silky soft ivory satin and trimmed in delicate ivory lace and peach bows, Sindy looked like a real Princess. The set consisted of this beautiful teddy, which fitted Sindy like a glove....
An exquisite set of Bra and French knickers , so delicatley made... to this Sindy added a frilly ivory lace suspender belt with peach ribbon suspenders and pure white stockings, the detail was just breath taking. ...
And to top it all, and make Sindy look every inch the Princess she really was to us, Sindy wore this stunning house coat with fluted sleeves and rounded hem, all dripping in acres of luxurious ivory lace and finished off with a pretty peach ribbon bow just under the bust. To finish off, Sindy wore open toed heeled slippers, and even had her very own 'boudoir' cushion ! A fitting end to the Pedigree era !
