Bleaklowjohn: Hi-Dave will spread your message about, hav'nt come across the initials IWB myself in our area but will ask around.
thelangsettwanderer: the LTP on Sykes Moor was burnt off but has regenerated if I remember correctly- check it out on Peatbogs site
Dark Peak Ian: Hi Dave, havent been on for a while, Went looking for the LTP near Sykes Moor last week in driving rain and thick fog, No joy will have to go back in brighter weather, found the wreck though easily. I think what the Water board have done round Langsett Woods is corperate Vandalism and is a sisgrace esp now the winds have blown over the few remaing trees.:o(
Paul Robinson: OK, no worries Dave!
thelangsettwanderer: sorry Paul but my tin tent will be my home for a fortnight from that weekend as we are away on holiday
Paul Robinson: Hi Dave, I was just wondering if you and Don would be up for doing the TRAIL 100 WATERAID Challenge on 7 June 2008? www.wateraidtrail100.org I was thinking of doing Bleaklow, let us know asap if you're reading this! I can't find your email address on this site. Cheers, Paul.
thelangsettwanderer:  thanks for that Bob - if you want to confuse me swap hats I wasn't joking when I said I recognised them over the wall before I saw your faces, as for the car - the logbook is in the post somewhere so the dealer can't tax it
thelangsettwanderer: hi Paul - had a nosey around the langsettwanderers web site a few weeks back, - e-mailed one of the pictures to our area ranger so that he could pass it onto to Don Buxton - Happy Christmas to you
Highpeakbob: Hi Dave, it was nice to meet you yesterday doing some dry stone walling. Happy Christmas to you and your family. Hope all went well with the new car.
Paul Robinson: Hi Dave, Just spotted your pics from the crash site. Nice one. The group that I mentioned on Flickr dedicated to Langsett can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/langsettwanderers/
thelangsettwanderer: I`m not sure on that one John, I was in last Sunday & walked the bottom path- it certainly looks impressive, I suspect that the width is mainly due to the width of machinery used, I liked the " passing places " on the path, but it looks like they were planned tipping places for the limestone filling , I will ask Gordon when I see him in 4 weeks - going away in my tin tent next week, keep seeing Rachel & I assume your S O H   in town
bleaklowjohn: I Dave wemt round Langsett today 18-10-07 can't believe the amount of work Yorkshire Water are doing. Are they going to change the new very wide footpaths to bridleway status?? regards John
Paul Robinson: Eek! Sounds a bit nasty, hope you make a speedy recovery. I didn't make it on Sunday anyway, having done a long walk in Wales on Saturday we needed a rest! Hopefully I might bump into you in two weeks time then. Cheers, Paul.
thelangsettwanderer: Hi Paul -sorry for the delay in replying I was actually off on the 22nd with a groin strain but should be back in a fortnight -we start @ 1000hrs and finish 1730- most of our Rangers on the saturday or sunday of that weekend will be happy to help you with information if not let you acccompany them should I not be there
Paul Robinson: OK, thanks for letting me know. I might call by and quiz your brain then! What are the open hours at the briefing center?
thelangsettwanderer: thanks for the comments Paul I`m in the briefing centre on Sunday 22nd & every fortnight after that if you wish to call in
Paul Robinson: Thanks for creating this site. Langsett and the surrounding areas are one of my favourite places for walking, now I have a lot more to look out for. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Bleaklowjohn: Hi Dave thats right it is just shown as a Pillar on the map apparently it was never used thats why
Bleaklowjohn: I Dave Highpeakbob is into Geocaching in a big way now hence the conection.
to topmark@barnsley: no sorry i am looking for a new weatherproof location, it was originally inside Wilfreys Neede & weighted down but the high winds blew it out & ruined the stamp & logbook
topmark@barnsley: 15/02/07: - Dave is letterbox up and running again. Rgards, Mark
dave Court: Hi Dave,   Thanks for all the info you gave me on Sunday.   Will be returning to explore Langsett Moors in the near future when I've explored your website.
