He's written loads but I guess they're not everyone's cup of tea. Mostly about sciencey alternate universes but so cool. That's what his dark matericals are about, as well as the corruption of a church in another world.
He's also written the Sally lockhart books about an orhpahn (Sally) and a group of photographers and actresses. It's set in Victorian London and is mostly about their adventures tracking down mysteries and solving 'em.
He's such a good writer i think, with an amazing range of ideas for places, people and stories. You really should take a look at his site (click the pic). :D
I first read a book by him just a little while ago and I only picked it up becasue it was called Kipps, a tale opf a simple soul and I thought that sounded funny! But after reading that, I thought he was really funny and realised that it was him that wrote War of the Worlds. Yes, I know I'm dumb...
Anyway, I'm going to be reading The Time Machine soon and the history of Mr Polly.... so i'll tell you what I think when I'm done. Anyway, i like 'im but he looks sorta strange in the pic.... hm...

As with marmite, you either love it or you hate it! I personaly love the idea and the books are cool too, in fact I think I like the books better.... but anyway, tis all magicsome and groovy and OH MY GOD VOLDEMORT IS SUCH A PRAT! Don't like him, he's mean... :D Anywhoo, I'm so dumb that when I was ELEVEN I was waiting for my Harry Potter letter just in case. But it never came and now look, I'm stuck at my crappy school. hm... maybe it just got, you know, lost in the mail or something. Maybe the bird got killed... hm...
Ok, so the basic idea is a bit warped, Change who you are to get with the one you fancy, but hey, the songs are just great!!! And the costume on Olivia Newton John at the end OH MY GOD! and its summer so im guesing she's pretty hot in there. But (and don't let Ben hear me say this), the greased hair, although gross looks pretty funkay! It's fifties and it's so cool!!! I swear I was born into the wrong decade entirely.Why would I want to live in THE ERA OF THE CHAV???
Anyway, likeing the songs and dancin' but I don't know how many people (grannies excluded) would agree....

Oh my god, isn't he just THE BEST!!! I can totally relate to donkey, look, he even has my colour eyes! I mean, who wouldnt' be excited to see Shrek after all that time??? And duh, he's scared to cross that bridge with all the lava, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? He's so cool, I love him and Shrek is just sucha cool movie!!
Lord of the Rings
Oh wow, all the adventure and the yelling and the fighting. SO COOL! I'm obsessive over Gandalf, and ok, so there's my old man problem again but... SHUT UP!! He's just so sweet! and old... and bearded... and wow. Anyway, i like them all really 'cept Jane fancies all the hobbits and that's just WEIRD!!! Aww.... lil ol' Ganmdalf *cradles photograph*
