One of our Rangers was selected in 2005 to go to the 21st World Scout Jamboree - 100years of Scouting. She had a fantastic time for more on what she got up to please visit Christina's Jamboree Adventure.
Our Unit Guider Tink completed her Cheif Guides Challenge. To gain this award you need to complete phase's 1 and 2 of all 8 octants. A huge Well Done to her from everyone at Luton South Division Rangers. Tink didn't know it was being presented at thier 4th July BBQ but the Division Commisioner showed up to present her with the award.
2 Rangers and 6 guides have just returned from one of our rangers prectise weekend for her Senior Section Permit. everyone had a great time. for more on this please go to the Residentials page.
One of our Rangers and Ranger Bear of course were personally invited by the Chief Guide to attend the Girlguiding UK Annual Review. They had an excellent time and learnt lots of new things.
Two of our rangers attended the switch weekend that was held in cambridge. Now they have made it into the switch newsletter pictured on the left. Both girls throughly enjoyed themselves and came back to unit with lots of things to share. Ranger Bear was also at the weekend and his thoughts were noted.
24th March - we had two girls and ranger bear do a presentation on our new ranger unit ! they done us very proud so well done to you two !! and Ranger Bear of course.
We were also mentioned in the Bedforshire Annual Review under Senior Section Higlights of the year, it said: 'luton south's new ranger unit held a 90th birthday party and have set up there own website.'
February 2007 - We had 3 of our Rangers carrying the Division Standard at Thinking Day, Well Done To all who attended. We also now have our neckers.
13th September - Yay we had are first ever meeting last night and it went great !! i hope everyone enjoyed themselves ... and we have got lots of great things planned
25th August 2006 - WoW !! We (Luton South Division Rangers) have just been successful in getting a grant from Project50k run by Girlguiding UK. This should help us get started. THANK YOU Girlguiding UK !!

Innovate
Bedfordshire recently had 7 members of the Senior Section represent us at Innovate.
But What is Inovate?
Innovate is Girlguiding UK’s Forum for Young Women – but what does that really mean? Simply, Innovate is:
- one open and inclusive weekend.
- 150 dynamic Senior Section members.
- a lot of hard work.
- even more fun
Innovate was held in Ulster in Northen Ireland, leaving mainland Britain for the first time. The weekend was a great success with girls form all over the UK. There were many different workshops to take part in, and also lots of dancing on the saturday night at the disco. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves, and two of our members even had there photo taken with the new chief guide.
