Haverings was opened on the 19th September 1970 by Lady Patience Baden-Powell. Previously Haverings was known as Slaughters Wood, it was given to the Guide Association by Mr Leslie B. Sell. Haverings is made up of 8 acres of woodland, as well as the building. The building consists of 28 bunk beds to sleep in and a room for the guiders, as well as a fully equiped kitchen and washrooms. There is now also an outdoor toilet block for campers.

Haverings takes alot of looking after and care. At the moment members of Haverings are building a woodland walk and are focusing on looking after the woodland at the moment. Heres a few photographs to show you how they are getting on... and of course Ranger Bear was there to help.
